Week's Achievements: McDermitt was named the MAC Runner of the Week following the opening weekend of the season. The Davison, Mich. native helped the Eagles to a first-place finish, as the Green and White swept the top four spots in a meet with Western Michigan University. The junior opened the cross country season in style, dominating the field at the George Dales Invitational, Sept. 2. The Davison, Mich. native crossed the finish line in 16:57.27, which was nearly thirty seconds quicker than the second-place finisher. It also marked the first time that she posted a mark of less than 17 minutes, as her previous 5K best was 17:03.
