Media Interview Requests
To better provider complete service and help fully understand your interview needs, please fill out the following information that will be sent to the contact for that respective sport contact.
Please Be Reminded of the Following Rules:
- Interviews with coaches and players must be scheduled with the EMU Athletic Media Relations Office. Players should not be directly contacted for interviews at their residences, on their cell phones, via e-mail, Facebook, Twitter and all other social networking entities.
- Please try give at least 24-hour advance notice so the players can be contacted and arrangements can be made.
- Most practices are open to the media. However, all media are recommended to make an advance call to the EMU Athletic Media Relations Office to check on the status of practice for a particular day. Failure to do so may result in an individual’s removal from the venue.
- Media members covering practices or scrimmages will not be permitted to report any scouting information (formations, personnel groupings, etc.) without first speaking with a member of the EMU coaching staff or the media relations office. Failure to adhere to this guideline could result in the closing of all practices and scrimmages to the media.
For Football Only
- During regular season practices, still photographers and videographers will be allowed to shoot only during pre-practice individual drills, which usually last approximately 10 minutes at the beginning of practice.
- First-year players, including freshmen and transfers, will be made available to the media only after they have made a significant contribution or at the coach’s discretion.
