Senior running back Samson Evans tied a career-high with three rushing touchdowns in a victory over WMU, 45-23. The contest is his second multi-touchdown game of the season (vs. Eastern Kentucky University, Sept. 2), and the sixth of his career. Evans’ three touchdowns in today’s victory are the most since the running back did so last season when he tallied three rushing scores in EMU’s season-opening win over Saint Francis (Pa.), Sept. 3, 2021. Evans finished with three TDs on 24 carries for 90 yards.
