Senior running back Samson Evans was the backbone of the Eastern Michigan offense against Toledo, accounting for all three Eagle touchdowns. This was the second time this season where Evans found the end zone three times after another three-score day at Western Michigan, Oct. 8. With the nine total rushing touchdowns for the season, Evans leads the MAC, and ranks fourth with 722 rushing yards on the season. With 23 career touchdowns, Evans now ties Bob Foster (1986-88) for seventh most in program history and is one away from tying Shaq Vann (2015-19) for sixth on the charts.
