Eastern Michigan harrier Baldvin Magnusson ranks first in the Mid-American Conference in the 3,000-meter run after shattering his personal best at the Meyo Invitational, Saturday, Feb. 8. The Akureyri, Iceland, native was the runner-up in the Jack Shay 3K race with a time of 8:03.28. For perspective, Magnusson’s previous career-best in this event came exactly one year ago at the GVSU Big Meet, where he finished 22nd overall with a time of 8:28.09.
