Gabe Singh, Almighty Williamson, and Cameron Hart will compete at the Johnny Loaring Classic Sunday

YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – Eastern Michigan University men's track & field alumni Gabe Singh, Almighty Williamson, and Cameron Hart are aiming to qualify for the United States Track & Field National Championships as the trio will compete at the Johnny Loaring Classic, a World Athletics Tour bronze-level event, hosted by the University of Windsor, at Alumni Field, in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, Sunday, June 15.

Fans can access a performance list, schedule of events, live results, and additional meet information here.

Singh will run in the 400m hurdles elite at 5:30 p.m. and enters the meet with a season-best 50.62 that serves as a personal best, ranks third in EMU program history, second in the NCAA Great Lakes Region, and 25th on the East Qualifying List. Williamson will compete in the 110m hurdles elite prelims at 2:15 p.m. and is seeded with a time of 13.84. Hart will leap in the long jump elite at 4:45 p.m. as he comes in seeded at 7.54m (24-08.90).

All athletes are attempting to meet the USATF minimum, which Singh has already met, and get as close as possible to the automatic qualifier marks. USATF will take the top-32 entries in the 400m hurdles and 110m hurdles, and the top-16 entries in the long jump, but all entries must hit the minimum standard to be considered.

For Singh, he's hit the minimum of 50.75, but needs to get closer to 49.75 in order to be in the top 32. For Williamson, the minimum is 13.75, which he has run this season, but not wind-legal as he aims to get close to the automatic mark of 13.40. For Hart, the minimum is 7.80m (25-07.10), which would mark a personal best while the automatic qualifier is 8.10m (26-06.90).

Should any of the three meet an automatic qualifier, they will compete at the 2025 USATF Outdoor Track & Field Championships, hosted by the University of Oregon, at historic Hayward Field, in Eugene, July 31-Aug. 3.

Singh recently concluded his collegiate track & field career and served as a pivotal piece of the sprints and hurdles squad for the Eagles. After being named All-MAC Second Team in the 2023-24 season, Singh upgraded in 2024-25, earning first-team honors in the outdoor season after a second-team nod in the indoor campaign. He participated on the winning 4x400m team at the MAC Outdoor Championships, May 15-17, and won the 400m hurdles as well. He also qualified to compete in the first round of the NCAA Championships in the 400m hurdles, May 28-31, earned two MAC Track Athlete of the Week awards (April 15, May 6), and holds two times that rank inside the program all-time outdoor top-10 (400m hurdles, 4x400m relay).

One year removed from collegiate competition, Williamson's name is littered through EMU track & field history as the hurdler owns the program record in the 110m hurdles (13.53), also setting a MAC Outdoor Championships record in the process at the 2024 meet. He earned four all-conference honors, competed in three NCAA First Rounds, and ran three times that rank inside the program top-10 in his time donning the Block E.

Hart was a member of the program from 2015-19 and won the high jump at the 2017 MAC Outdoor Championships, earning first team all-conference designation in the process. His 2.18m (7-01.75) high jump mark from the 2017 indoor campaign ranks fourth in program annals as he has served as an assistant coach with the program since graduating.
