Denman led Eastern Michigan University to the semi-finals of the MAC Championship, hitting .308 (4 for 13) in the tournament, along with a .769 slugging percentage. For the tournament, Denman had 7 runs batted in and 2 runs scored. Denman was outstanding in the 8-5 victory over NIU, which advanced EMU to the semifinals. With EMU trailing 4-0 in the
4th inning, Denman hit a 3-run home run to cut the deficit to 4-3. In the 5th inning, Denman lashed another 3-run homer, giving Eastern Michigan a lead they would not relinquish. For her exploits, Denman was named to the all-tournament team.
