Eastern Michigan senior Delaney Duncan was named the 2019 MAC Most Outstanding Swimmer a record-shattering overall performance at the Mid-American Conference Swimming and Diving Championships, Feb. 27- March 2 hosted by the University of Akron. Throughout the weekend, Duncan became the first female swimmer in conference history to win the 100 Breaststroke four times with an NCAA ‘A’ cut time, school record, conference record, and personal-best swim of 58.25. Furthermore, she became the only swimmer in Eastern Michigan history to qualify for the NCAA Championships four times. Duncan also earned the conference’s 200 Breaststroke title with an NCAA ‘B’ cut time of 2:07.38.
 
For her weekend’s efforts, Duncan earned the conference’s Outstanding Senior award, voted on by the conference’s swimming and diving team coaches to recognize the most exceptional senior swimmer, while also being named All-MAC First Team and the MAC’s Most Outstanding Swimmer of the Year.
