Eastern Swimmers Ready for 2026 CSCAA National Invitational Championships

YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – Eastern Michigan University swimmers are set to compete at the 2026 College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) National Invitational Championships at the F.A.S.T. Facility in Ocala, Fla., Thursday-Saturday, March 12-14.
Prelims will begin each day at 9:30 a.m., followed by the finals sessions at 6 p.m.
Official results will be uploaded on the CSCAA website here following each session, and each session will be live streamed on YouTube here.

Who's Competing?
The Eagles are sending eleven swimmers to the meet, including Marlee Christie (Seminole, Fla./Seminole), Abbey Clarke (Caledon, Ont./Robert F. Hall), Marianna Fardella (Serres, Greece/40 Geniko Lykeio Serron), Morgan Hofmeister (Powell, Ohio/Olentangy Liberty), Nina Larosa (Bay Village, Ohio/Bay), Emma Littrell (Taylor Mill, Ky./St. Henry District), Tristen Mina (Santa Clara, Calif./The King's Academy), Lucy Noble (Flagler Beach, Fla./Flagler Palm Coast), Nehir Oz (Istanbul, Turkey/Cevre), Shayne Patrick (Reno, Nev./TMCC Magnet), and Siporah Sang (London, Ont./Sir Frederick Banting Secondary School).
What Events?
Eight swimmers will represent Eastern in individual events: Christie (50y free, 100y free), Fardella (500y free, 1000y free, 1650y free, 200y back), Hofmeister (1000y free, 400y IM), LaRosa (50y breast, 100y breast, 200y breast), Littrell (100y free, 200y free), Mina (100y fly), Oz (1000y free, 1650y free), and Patrick (200y fly, 200y IM, 400y IM).
The 800y freestyle relay team members include Fardella, Oz, Patrick, and Hofmeister, while Christie, Clarke, Littrell, and Noble will compete in the 200y freestyle relay. Christie, LaRosa, Mina, and Sang will take on the 200y medley relay, and the team of Fardella, LaRosa, Littrell, and Mina will compete in the 400y medley relay.
Eastern earned five CSCAA A-Cuts and 19 B-Cuts throughout the season for the championship meet. The five A-Cuts include all four relays, and LaRosa's 50y breaststroke time.

Last Time at The CSCAA NIC
The Eagles also sent 11 swimmers to last season's championships, March 13-15. The team saw a total of five personal-best times and one season-best time, with all five personal bests coming from freshmen and sophomores, including LaRosa (50y breaststroke), Noble (100y breaststroke), Littrell (100y butterfly), Mina (50y butterfly), and Oz (1000y freestyle).
Last Time Out Highlights
Eastern last competed at the MAC Championships, Feb. 25-28. Oz led the way for the swimmers, scoring 26 points and finishing sixth in both the 500y freestyle finals, and the 1650y freestyle finals. LaRosa earned a fourth-place finish in the 100y breaststroke finals, Azra Umut (Istanbul, Turkey/Fenerbahce School) placed seventh in the 500y freestyle finals, Mina swam to a seventh-place finish in the 100y butterfly finals, and Christie finished eighth in the 100y freestyle finals.
