COLUMBUS, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University men's golf team finished in 15th place among 18 teams at the Robert Kepler Intercollegiate Sunday, April 21, on the par-71, 7,455-yard OSU Scarlet Course. The Eagles posted a final round 301 to finish with a three-day, 54-hole score of 903 (299-303-301).
Indiana captured the title with a score of 871 (296-291-284), edging the host Buckeyes by three shots. Nevada's Enrique Dimayuga earned the individual title by one shot with a 13 (69-71-73).
How It Happened
Senior Cam Kellett (London, Ontario/Saint Thomas Aquinas/Nevada) finished in a tie for 35th with a three round total of 223 (73-72-78). The London, Ontario, native notched the 10th-best par 3 scoring average, while finishing ninth among all players with nine birdies on the weekend. Freshman Avery Mahoney (Burlington, Ontario/Notre Dame Catholic Secondary School) tied for 64th with a final round 77 for a three-day tally of 227 (73-77-77). Senior Patrick Deardorff (Clarkston, Mich./Clarkston) tied for 73rd at 228 (77-77-74), while junior Zander Gibson (Concord, Ohio/Notre Dame Cathedral Latin/Rider) and sophomore Nathaniel Gray Lamont (Guelph, Ontario/Guelph Collegiate Vocational Institute) tied for 85th with a 231.
