GULF SHORES, Ala. (EMUEagles.com) – Eastern Michigan University sophomore Olivia Loberg (Bend, Ore.-Summit) posted a second round 82 and sits in a tie for 48th-place with a 160 (78-82) at the Bama Beach Bash, March 20. As a team, the Eagles carded a cumulative score of 646 (324-322), while Louisiana-Monroe holds down the top spot with a 36-hole tally of 591 (300-291) on the par 72, 6,002-yard Gulf Shores Golf Club setup.
Senior Maria Connelly (Waterville, Ohio- Anthony Wayne) shaved six strokes off the opening round tally to post a two-day mark of 160 (84-78) for a tie for 60th. Freshman Anna Watson (Ashland, Ohio-Ashland) is in 65th with a 163 (78-85), while classmates Sophia Wygonik (Westland, Mich.-Livonia Franklin) and Paige Zolciak (Perrysburg, Ohio-St. Ursula Academy) added a 164 (87-77) and a 169 (84-85), respectively.
For Zolciak, her second round score of 77 was a career-low, bettering an 80 set in the final round of the Kiawah Island Classic, March 2.
Playing as an individual, freshman Tatyana Nyambane (Nairobi, Kenya-Nord Anglia International School Dubai) also continued to show improvement with another single-round low for a two day mark of 167 (84-83).
