Eastern will take part in a 15 team tournament at Gulf Shores Golf Club

GULF SHORES, Ala. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University women's golf team returns to the links this weekend in Gulf Shores, Ala. to take part in the Bama Beach Bash, co-hosted by UAB and South Alabama. Livestats will be provided by Golfstat.com.
The 15-team three-day tournament will take place at the Gulf Shores Golf Club beginning Friday, March 19, and running through Sunday, March 21. Each day will consist of 18 rounds and team times are set for an 8 a.m. shotgun start.
Other teams besides EMU, UAB and South Alabama taking part in the tournament are Appalachian State, Alabama State, Central Arkansas, Detroit Mercy, Little Rock, Murray State, North Alabama, North Dakota, South Dakota State, Southern Illinois, Texas State, and ULM.
Making up the Eastern squad will be sophomore Olivia Loberg (Bend, Ore.-Summit), freshman Anna Watson (Ashland, Ohio-Ashland), senior Maria Connelly (Waterville, Ohio- Anthony Wayne), freshman Sophia Wygonik (Westland, Mich.-Livonia Franklin), and freshman Paige Zolciak (Perrysburg, Ohio-St. Ursula Academy). Freshman Tatyana Nyambane (Nairobi, Kenya-Nord Anglia International School Dubai) will again be taking part in the event as an individual competitor.
The Eagles are coming off a third-place finish at the Don Benbow Invitational, March 8-9. The Green and White shaved off 13 strokes in the final round of the invitational, as Loberg paced the team in second with a career-low 152 (79-73),
