LIHU'E, KAUA'I, Hawai'i (EMUEagles.com) – Jasmine Leovao finished as the tournament runner-up and Mariana Vega added her second consecutive top 20 finish to help the Eastern Michigan University women's golf team finish fourth at the 2025 Rainbow Wahine Invitational, Oct. 20-22, in Lihu'e, Kaua'i, Hawai'i, to close out the fall portion of the 2025-26 season with another strong showing. The Eagles, who rose three spots on the final day on the par-72, 6,039-yard Ocean Course at Hokuala, posted their fourth top five placement in five fall events.
As a team, the Eagles shot the second-lowest 54-hole score in program history by finishing a 3-over 867 (289-298-280), posting only the second 54-hole score under 870 ever. Eastern, who recorded a school-record 280 in round three, placed behind No. 15 Baylor University, who won the event at 13-under 851, and both University of Missouri and Santa Clara University, who tied for second by shooting 4-under 860.
Individually, Leovao (Oceanside, Calif./El Camino/Long Beach State) shot 6-under 210 (69-73-68) to take second and most the tied for fifth-best score in program history. Leovao, who now leads the team with three rounds in the 60's after adding two in Hawai'i, finished behind Baylor's Yurang Li, who finished 12-under 204. With her finish, Leovao posted a top two finish for the Eagles for the fourth time in five fall events after her twin sister, Jenae Leovao (Oceanside, Calif./El Camino/Long Beach State) won the first two tournaments of the season and Baiyok Sukterm (Bang Yi, Thailand/Panitchayakan Rajdamnern Tech/Lindsey Wilson) tied for second once.
Vega (Barranquilla, Columbia/Colegio Karl C. Parrish) was next on the team as she tied for 18th at 2-over 218 (73-75-70), marking her second consecutive top 20 finish this season. Her score was one stroke off her career-best 217 while tying her for the 28th-lowest score in team history. Both Savannah de Bock (Ecaussinnes-d'enghien, Belgium/Institut de l'Enfant-Jésus-Lycée/Georgia) and Sukterm tied for 32nd after shooting 5-over 221 while Ammy Raemmuang (Phitsanulok, Thailand/St. Nicholas School) and Janae Leovao tied for 38th at 6-over 222. Grace Thanintorndamrongdej (Bangkok, Thailand/Kasetsart University Laboratory School), who joined Raemmuang in making their collegiate debuts, tied for 95th at 19-over 235.

» Eastern played its first tournament ranked among the top 40 nationally, entering the week at No. 35 before the rankings updated, Oct. 22, to see EMU rise to No. 29, its highest in program history.
» The Eagles shot 3-over 867 (289-298-280) to post the second-lowest team score in program history and just the second score under 870. The record of 859 was shot earlier this year at the Leadership & Golf Invitational (Sept. 15-16).
