The most spectacular performance amongst the women’s throwers came from sophomore Miranda Cadwell (Plainfield, Ill.-Plainfield South) at the Raleigh Relays, March 26. The Illinois native put on a show in the discus, hurling a throw of 44.14m to set a new school record. The previous record at EMU of 43.96m was set by former Eagle Jada Taylor in 2016. Coming off a record-setting performance in the discus, Cadwell made a 48.40m toss the following day, placing her eighth on the all-time list, March 27.
