Senior Korey Mahoney carded a three-round total of 215 (68-73-74) to claim the individual championship and help the Eastern Michigan University men’s golf team finish as the team champion Sunday at the 2006 Rutherford Intercollegiate in University Park, Pa., April 22-23. Mahoney, who fired a 141 on Saturday, shot a two-over 74 to hold on for medalist honors with a one-under par 215. The victory marks the East Lansing, Mich. native's fourth invitational win as a collegian and his second title this season after winning the Wexford Plantation Intercollegiate, Feb. 27-28.
