YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University swim and dive teams will travel to Oxford, Ohio to compete against Miami University Friday, Jan. 16, 2 p.m. to open the 2026 portion of the season.

All-Time Against Miami
The RedHawks hold the lead in the all-time series with a 30-9 record against the Eagles. Eastern's record when competing at Miami is 3-14, as the last time they won in Oxford was in the 2017-18 season, 169-131.

Last Time Out Highlights
The Eagles last competed in December at the Golden Grizzly Classic, hosted by Oakland University, Dec. 3-6, resulting in a fourth place finish with 1,471 points. The four-day meet saw a total of 24 combined personal bests for the Eagles, highlighted by Nina Larosa (Bay Village, Ohio/Bay) improving her program top-10 time in the 100y breaststroke from spot No. 5 to No. 3 with a second-place finish and a personal best time of 1:01.53, along with swimming program No. 9 time in the 200y breaststroke with a personal best time of 2:17.03. 

Marianna Fardella (Serres, Greece/40 Geniko Lykeio Serron) earned a top three finish in the 500y freestyle finals, taking third place with a personal best time of 5:54.68. Shayne Patrick (Reno, Nev./TMCC Magnet) also earned a third place finish, as she swam the 200y butterfly finals in a time of 2:03.58.

The divers saw multiple top-five finishes throughout the meet. Megan Lupa (Campden, Ontario/West Niagara Secondary) earned second place in the platform dive finals with 237.05 points. Lupa also finished fourth in the three-meter dive final, scoring 260.10 points. In the one-meter finals, Aisling Gutierrez (New Kent, Va./New Kent) took fourth place with 255.10 points.
