GREENWOOD, Ind. (EMUEagles.com) – Eastern Michigan University swim and dive student-athletes Aisling Gutierrez, Nina LaRosa, Tristen Mina, and Azra Umut were named Academic All-District honorees by College Sports Communicators (CSC), the organization announced Tuesday, April 7.

The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Women's Swimming & Diving teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the pool and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes women's swimming & diving honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

To make the list, student-athletes had to post a cumulative undergraduate grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.50 on a 4.0 scale. Participation wise, student-athletes must have competed in 75 percent of team competitions or finished in the top eight at a conference meet or participated in a national championship.

All four of Eastern's honorees earned top eight finishes at the Mid-American Conference (MAC) Championships to qualify. The accolade also marks the first of all four of the student-athletes' respective careers.

Gutierrez (New Kent, Va./New Kent) earned the honor with a 3.92 GPA and her eighth-place finish in the 3m diving finals. LaRosa (Bay Village, Ohio/Bay) made the list with her 3.94 GPA while finishing fourth in the 100y breaststroke finals. Mina (Santa Clara, Calif./The King's Academy) held a 3.63 GPA and finished seventh in the 100y butterfly finals, and Umut (Istanbul, Turkey/Fenerbahce School) earned the accolade with her 3.55 GPA and a seventh-place finish in the 500y freestyle finals.
