MUNCIE, Ind. (EMUEagles.com) – Savannah de Bock and Julianna Go tied for 11th place and Erina Tan added a top 20 finish as the Eastern Michigan University women's golf team finished third at the 2025 Mid-American Conference Championships, April 20-22, at Delaware Country Club in Muncie, Ind. The Eagles, who shot 42-over 906 (301-310-295), earned their ninth top three finish all-time in the MAC event and their first since taking second in 2015.

In the team standings, No. 51 Kent State University led wire-to-wire to capture its 26th consecutive MAC title as the Golden Flashes shot 9-over 873 (289-296-288) while Bowling Green State University placed second at 37-over 901 (296-314-291). Northern Illinois University finished fourth at 48-over 912 (303-304-305) while host Ball State University rounded out the top five in fifth place at 50-over 914 (301-316-296).

Individually, Jasmine Driscoll (Ball State) captured medalist honors at 2-over 218 (67-77-74) while four players tied for second place at 3-over 2019, including Addison Kartusch (Bowling Green) and the KSU trio of Gracie Larsen, Isabella Goyette, and Aryn Matthews. Two Eagles finished just outside the top 10 as de Bock (Ecaussinnes-d'enghien, Belgium/Institut de l'Enfant-Jésus-Lycée/Georgia) shot 11-over 227 (73-78-76) and Go (San Juan, Philippines/St. Jude Catholic School/King) joined her at 11-over 227 (75-78-74) to tie for 11th. The 227 strokes for both Eagles tied for the eighth-best score at the MAC Championships for an EMU player.

Tan (Belmont, Western Australia/Mount Lawley Senior) was the only Eagle to play all three rounds and finished tied for 18th at 13-over 229 (79-79-71). Her 71 in the final round tied for the second-best mark of the day behind only Ava O'Sullivan (BGSU), who shot 69. The 71 also tied for the fourth-lowest single round score for an EMU player at the MAC Championships.

Riley Kim (Aldie, Va./Lightridge) and Mariana Vega (Barranquilla, Columbia/Colegio Karl C. Parrish) both played in round three, shooting 77 and 74, respectively. Kim played in the second and third rounds and shot 152 to finish 48th in the standings while Vega played in the first and third rounds to shoot 155 and finish 50th. Angelica Holman (Fort Pierce, Fla./Lincoln Park Academy/Daytona State/Georgia) played the first two rounds and shot 158 to finish 51st as each team could play a maximum of five players each day with one substitution to the lineup permitted each round.

Team Notes
» Eastern Michigan finished among the top three in the MAC standings for ninth time in program history and the first time since finishing second in 2015. Eastern has now posted four runner-up and five third-place showings at the MAC event since it began in 2000.
» The 906 shots by the Eagles ranks as the second-lowest score in program history at the MAC Championships with the 2016 team's 896 strokes scoring better.
» EMU's score of 906 marked only the second time in program history the team has finished under 920 at the MAC Championships and the first time since setting the scoring record of 896 at the 2016 tournament.
» The Eagles improved by seven places and 66 strokes over their 2024 showing where EMU shot 972 to finish 10th. The 66-stroke improvement is a program record, surpassing the 32-stroke improvement by the 2018 team (932 from 954 in 2017).
» EMU shot 295 in the third round to record the third-lowest round score in program history at the MAC Championships with the round three scores from 2016 (290) and 2019 (291) sitting just ahead of this year's team. The 295 strokes also mark the 11th time EMU has shot 295 or better this season after doing so just 36 times in program history prior to this year.
» Overall, the team finished with a best four player average of 301.2 for the season, which ranks as the best in program history by 2.8. The previous record was 304.0 set by the 2015-16 squad.

Individual Notes
» Savannah de Bock and Julianna Go both finished with scores of 227, which tied for the eighth-lowest scores at a MAC Championship for an Eastern player.
» Savannah de Bock finished the season with an average of 72.8, which broke the school record by 1.8. The previous mark was set in 2015-16 by Kelsey Murphy, who held an average of 74.0 to become the first player in EMU history to finish a season under 75.0.
» Julianna Go shot 74 in the final round to tie for the 12th-best score of the day. That helped her to a score of 227, which would have tied her career-best score had she not shot 219 in her last tournament, the Boilermaker Spring Classic (April 6-7).
» Erina Tan shot 71 in the final round, marking the lone round under par in the tournament for the Eagles. The 71 also stood as the second-best score of the day, surpassed only by Ava O'Sullivan of Bowling Green, who shot 69.
» Mariana Vega played in the first and third rounds for the Eagles. With her scores, she finished the season with an average of 75.5, which tied for the sixth-best average in program history with Stephany Fleet (2007-08).
