Women’s Golf Heads to Atlantic Invitational to Open 2024

LAKE WORTH, Fla. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University women's golf team opens its spring season as the squad travels to Lake Worth, Fla. to compete at the Atlantic Invitational, Feb. 12-13, at the Fountains Country Club. The Eagles will compete on a par-71, 6,005-yard course against six other teams.
The women's teams entered are Arkansas State, Illinois State, Keiser, Lehigh, Marshall, and Quinnipiac.
The teams will get through rounds one and two on Monday with a shotgun start beginning at 8:30 a.m. The Eagles will tee off from holes 6-10 in the first round. After a break for lunch, the teams will open the second round at 1 p.m. with EMU starting on the same holes. Round 3 will occur on Tuesday.
Eastern Michigan will have seven golfers in action led by senior Anna Watson (Ashland, Ohio-Ashland), freshmen Riley Kim (Aldie, Va./Lightridge), senior Natai Apichonlati (Bangkok, Thailand/The Regent's International School), junior Alyssa DiMarcantonio (Maple, Ontario/Tommy Douglas Secondary School), and freshman Gabriella Tapp (South Lyon, Mich./South Lyon).
Playing as individuals will be senior Paige Zolciak (Perrysburg, Ohio/St. Ursula Academy) and junior Grace Halcrow (Richmond Hill, Ontario/Bill Crothers Secondary/Simon Fraser/Glenville State).
This marks Eastern Michigan's first appearance in the tournament.
