NASSAU, Bahamas (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University women's golf team closed out its five-tournament fall schedule with an 11th-place finish at the White Sands Bahamas NCAA Invitational, played at the par 72 Ocean Club Golf Course at Atlantis Paradise Island, Bahamas.
Senior Anna Watson (Ashland, Ohio-Ashland) finished with her best score of the three-day event, as she posted a 75 for a 233 (79-79-75) in a tie for 30th. It marked her third consecutive top-30 finish and moved her 18 hole average to 76.2 in 15 founds this fall.
Kansas State's Haley Vargas took individual honors, as the Wildcats led from start to finish to win the tournament. Vargas posted rounds of 70-76-71 for a one-over total of 217.
