Three Eagles Place In the Top-15 at Dolores Black Falcon Invite

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University women's golf team placed three players inside the top-15 at the Dolores Black Falcon Invitational Saturday, April 7, on the par 72, 5,829-yard Stone Ridge Golf Club course. The Eagles posted a final round 306 for fourth-place with a two-day tally of 609 (303-306). EMU's two-day tally is tied for the seventh-lowest two-round total in program history, and the lowest since a 598 at the Cardinal Classic, Sept. 22-23, 2014.
Sophomore Preaw Sripatrprasite (Bangkok, Thailand-Siam International) picked up her third career top-10 showing with a 150 (71-79) in a tie for eighth. Overall, Sripatrprasite has turned in five top-20 showings this season to bring her average to 77.36 on the year in nine events played.
Oakland won the tournament by recording a team score of 592 (295-297), while Ohio placed second with a 598 (298-300). The Bobcat's Emily Hughes took home the individual championship for the second-straight year, as she carded a 146 on the weekend.
Junior Katelin Lawson (LaSalle, Ontario-Ridge Community-Tampa) added her first career top-10 finish with a 151 (77-74) to tie for 10th. Classmate Julia Stevenson (Milford, Mich.-Milford) continued her record streak of success by taking 15th with a 153 (77-76). Junior Maria Connelly (Waterville, Ohio-Anthony Wayne) added a 155 (78-77) for 22nd, and senior Kritsuda Apiwatthanadol (Bangkok, Thailand-Somtawin Witead Suska Huaymongkhon School) rounded out the lineup with a 163 (81-83) to tie for 45th.
Taking part as an individuals, freshmen Green Apichonlati (Bangkok, Thailand-The Regent's International School) and Abby Livingston (Novi, Mich.-Novi) added an 155 (70-75) and 158 (82-76), respectively.
Eastern Michigan has one week off before traveling to Noblesville, Ind., for the Mid-American Conference Championships, April 19-21, at Purgatory Golf Club.
