DEXTER, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — The Eastern Michigan University men's cross country team closed out its regular season Friday, Oct. 19 as it hosted the annual EMU Fall Classic in Dexter, Mich.
Leading the way for Eastern was freshman Joe Ingram (Cincinnati, Ohio-Anderson) and sophomore Hayelom Fitsum (Denver, Colo.-Denver School of Science and Technology), who placed 27th and 28th with times of 16:11.4 and 16:12.6, respectively. Freshman Craig Thompson (South Haven, Mich.-South Haven) finished 30th overall, while sophomores Ian Cook (Worthington, Ohio-Thomas Worthington), Phoenix Myers (Wattsburg, Pa.-Seneca), and freshman Ronald Brandal (Huron, Ohio-Huron) rounded out the Eagles with placements of 31st, 33rd, and 41st, respectively.
The Eagles now turn their attention to the postseason with the Mid-American Conference Championships set to take place Saturday, Oct. 27 in Toledo, Ohio.
