Eastern Michigan left-handed pitcher Scott Granzotto compiled a 2-0 record on the mound for the week, helping Eastern to wins over Mid-American Conference opponents Toledo and Bowling Green, May 4 and 8, respectively. The Northville, Mich. native recorded a 1.64 ERA over his 11.0 innings pitched over the two games, striking out 11 and walking just one batter during his time on the mound.
Against Toledo, Granzotto threw 4.0 innings, allowing two runs while striking out five Rocket batters in the win.
Dominating the Falcons, Granzotto threw a season-high 7.0 scoreless innings, allowing just three hits and striking out a season-best six in the shutout victory. The senior faced the minimum number of batters in four-of-seven innings on the way to earning his second win of the week and third of the season.
