» Eastern is in its 49th varsity season in 2026 and, following its weekend split, is now 555-477 all-time. The 4-2 win at St. Francis (Pa.), Jan. 24, stands as the 550th victory in program history.
» Under Ryan Kucera, the Eagles have posted a 25-4 record at home, including an 11-0 mark in his debut season (2024), a 10-2 mark last year, and a 4-2 start in 2026. In the six seasons played ahead of Kucera's arrival, the Eagles were 21-30 at home.

» Ryan Kucera ranks sixth all-time in wins by a head coach in program history with 33. The wins at DePaul (No. 31) and Butler (No. 32) pushed him ahead of Allison Tookes, who had 31 from 1991-95.
LAST TIME OUT: EASTERN FALLS AT BALL STATE
For the second consecutive match, Eastern dropped a MAC contest by a 6-1 score with the latest coming at Ball State, April 3. It marked the second consecutive week she won the lone point in a MAC match for Eastern and did so with a three-set win in back-to-back matches to move to 5-1 in league play.
GOING THE DISTANCE
Cylova Zuleyka Hukmasabiyya has played well at the top singles spot this year, especially in league action where she is 5-1 overall, including four consecutive wins. Her last two matches have gone the distance with the freshman winning both in three sets to improve to 3-3 overall in three-set contests and 2-1 in the MAC with her lone blemish a 4-6, 6-4, 2-6 setback at UMass. Additionally, she has found a way to fight back as she is 2-0 in three-set matches in MAC play when she drops the first set.
PLAYING ANOTHER SET
As a team, the Eagles are 20-21 in three-set matches this season, including 6-5 in MAC contests. When winning the first set, Eastern is 11-13, including a 3-3 mark in MAC matches, while sitting 9-8 overall and 3-1 in the MAC when dropping the first set. The freshmen duo has clinched the point five times from the No. 2 position while adding one at the No. 1 spot.
BRINGING IN THE CLOSER?
Following her clinching point at No. 5 singles against Toledo (March 22), Matilde Parreira has been a closer of late for the Eagles as she clinched the deciding point four times in the Eagles' 10 victories in 2026 (40.0 percent). DOUBLES TALES
Since Ryan Kucera took over ahead of the 2023-24 season, doubles have been a key component to the team's success. Conversely, the Eagles are 5-24 when they don't win the doubles point, including the 4-3 win over Bradley at home, Feb. 20.
KNOW THE FOE: MIAMI
The RedHawks sport a record of 6-11 overall and 3-3 in MAC matches with a match against visiting Dayton schedule ahead of their meeting with the Eagles. Miami is 5-1 at home this year (1-9 away and 0-1 at neutral sites) and have won two consecutive home matches, including 5-2 over Bowling Green and 4-3 over Northern Illinois, to bounce back from its lone home loss, a 4-3 setback to UMass.

The Eagles, who are 1-20 all-time in Oxford, are 2-14 all-time in one-point duals, but have lost the last nine contests to end in a 4-3 score. Daniella Shved won at No. 2 to tie the match at 3-3, but a three-set loss at No. 3 ended the dual with the visitors on top.
THE LAST TIME AT MIAMI
The Eagles fell to the RedHawks, 4-3, in their most recent trip to Miami (March 17, 2024), as their comeback bid fell short. After taking a 1-0 lead by winning the doubles point, the Eagles fell behind, 3-1, as the RedHawks captured wins at No. 2, No. 1, and No. 5.
