EMU2024-25: Finished the year with 12 combined wins, including seven in singles action… Opened the year placing fourth at the Block E Invitational and seventh in the Hoosier Classic… Joined with Viki Hazmukova for a 6-2 win to clinch the doubles point and start EMU off strong on its way to a 4-3 defeat of Western Michigan (March 28)… Earned Academic All-MAC honors… 2023-24: Second on the team with 22 singles wins and tied for the team lead with 16 doubles victories… Led the way with 38 combined victories… Opened her collegiate career winning Flight 3 at the Redbird Invitational (Oct. 1)… Advanced to the main draw of the ITA Midwest Regional after claiming two wins in the qualifier… Put together a trio of five-match winning streaks including two in dual action… Earned a spot on the MAC All-Tournament Team after battling back for a three-set win (6-3, 0-6, 6-3) over Shalini Tallmaraju of Toledo in the MAC Semifinals (April 26) at Toledo… Clinched the team win against Cleveland State (Feb. 4) with her 6-4, 7-5 win at No. 4 singles… Joined Sabina Brichackova for much of the season and built a 12-8 record… The duo combined for a 7-6(5) win at No. 3 doubles in the MAC opener at Miami to claim the doubles point and earn MAC Doubles Team of the Week honors (March 19)… Added a second honor April 16 sweeping No. 3 bouts with Western Michigan and Toledo, including the clinching point against the Rockets (April 14)… Added point-clinching wins in two other duals, including at No. 1 doubles against Ferris State (Jan. 28) and Northern Illinois (March 29) at No. 3… PRIOR TO EMU: Played as a member of the Russian Regional Tennis Team and competed in individual tournaments throughout the past few years… Took part in the junior division at the J60 Dubai event, Jan. 16-21, 2023, in the United Arab Emirates where she advanced to the quarterfinals before falling to the eventual tournament winner… A doubles semifinalist at the Russian National Championships, she reached three International Tennis Federation (ITF) finals in doubles, winning one, while also reaching one ITF singles final… Also has captured a pair of Tennis Europe Junior titles… PERSONAL: Full Name: Kseniia 'Ksyusha' Saenko… Daughter of Eduard and Sveltana Saenko… Has one brother, David… Her relative, Ivan Saenko, was a professional footballer who was a member of the Russian side that captured bronze at the 2008 EURO Championships and also was a member of an FC Nuremburg team that won the German Bundesliga Cup…  Finance major.
