Dull, Watson Collect Top-10 Honors at Jaguar Invite

CARMEL, Ind. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University women's golf team wrapped up play at the two-day, 36-hole Lady Jaguar Invitational, held at the par 72, 6,180 yard Plum Creek Golf Club today, April 16.
The Eagles finished in third place overall for the event, out of 11 teams, after firing a two-day total of 619 (303-316). Battling cold, rainy conditions, host IUPUI earned the overall team title after shooting a 611 (297-314) for the event. Cleveland State (617), EMU (619), Western Michigan (623), and Marian (627) rounded out the top-five.
Individually, sophomore Kyleigh Dull (Fremont, Ohio-Lakota) fired rounds of 73 and 76 for a two round score of 149, just one shot outside a four-way playoff for medalist honors. The finish was Dull's first top-five showing of the season and fourth of her career. Additionally, Dull notched the best finish out of the 20 Mid-American Conference student-athletes competing in the event.
Cleveland State's Sabrina Coffman, IUPUI's Annaliese Fox, Detroit Mercy's Ariel Chang, and CSU's Brynna Mardis all tied for the top-spot with a four-over 148. Mardis made birdie on No. 16 in a one-hole playoff to earn medalist honors.
How It Happened
Junior Anna Watson (Ashland, Ohio-Ashland) tied for 10th with a 152 (74-78). EMU was one of just four teams (IUPUI, Cleveland State, Western Michigan) with multiple players inside the top-10. Meanwhile, senior Natai Apichonlati (Bangkok, Thailand-The Regent's International School) took 42nd with a two-day cumulative of 154 (70-84).
Sophomore Alyssa DiMarcantonio (Maple, Ontario-Tommy Douglas Secondary School) rebounded after a slow start to close with a 78 for a 164 (86-78) in 42nd. Senior Adeline Lau (Sa Rawak, Malaysia-SMK Bintulu-Michigan Dearborn) wrapped up the tournament in 70th with a 176 (87-89).

Eastern Michigan returns to the course for the final time of the 2022-23 campaign for the Mid-American Conference Tournament, April 21-23. The Eagles will take to the Kalamazoo Country Club setup for three days as the program looks for its first league title.
