Sophomore was one of nearly 1,500 golfers recognized for athletic and academic achievement

YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) -- The Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) announced its WGCA All-American Scholar Team, June 30, with Eastern Michigan University's Julianna Go garnering selection for the national honor. Go is one of 1,499 women's collegiate golfers from 403 programs that earned recognition following the 2024-25 season.

To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must carry a cumulative grade-point average (GPA) of 3.50 or higher, be a member of the team's roster through the completion of the academic season, and play for the school in at least 50 percent of the team's regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the nominating season (through the conference tournament).

Go (San Juan, Philippines/Saint Jude Catholic School/King) appeared in 10 tournaments in her first season with the Eagles and posted a season-best eighth-place finish at the Boilermaker Spring Classic (April 6-7) where she finished at 3-over 219 to mark a 13-stroke improvement over her best showing with the team and her best placement since tying for 29th one month earlier at the River Landing Classic (March 3-4). She continued her improved play at the Mid-American Conference Championships (April 20-22) where she tied for 11th at 11-over 227 to help the team to a third-place finish and a spot in the Women's National Golf Invitational (May 9-11), where EMU took second place.

Dating back to the 1999-00 academic year when the award was given by the National Golf Coaches Association (changed to WGCA ahead of the 2012-13 academic year), Go is now the 33rd different member of the program to earn the national honor. Additionally, she collected the program's 74th all-time accolade.
