YPSILANTI, Mich. – Despite the collegiate season coming to an end, members of the Eastern Michigan University women's golf team are playing tournaments all around the world this summer. Check back here throughout the summer as we update you on all the results!

EAGLES CONTINUE TO COMPETE AROUND THE GLOBE
Since the last update in early June, the Eagles have continued to compete well and did so in five different countries across four continents. Eastern players took to courses in North American (California), South America (Colombia), Europe (France and Germany), and Asia (Singapore) while honing their crafts and occasionally representing their home countries. Here are some of the highlights from the past six weeks of action:
MATCHING UP: DE BOCK & DON LEAD COUNTRIES AT TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS
Savannah de Bock and Caterina Don represented their nations of Belgium and Italy, respectively, at the 2025 European Ladies' Team Championship (July 8-12) in Chantilly, France, with the Italians finishing seventh and the Belgians ninth. In two days of stroke play, Don shot 142 (72-20) to tie for 22nd while de Bock was tied for 54th at 147 (71-76) as their teams earned the No. 7 and No. 10 seeds, respectively.
In match play, de Bock was 2-1-0 in individual play, including a 3&2 win in the final, as Belgium defeated No. 15 Iceland (3.5-1.5) in the Flight B quarterfinals, No. 14 Switzerland (3.5-1.5) in the semifinals, and No. 9 Denmark (3.5-1.5) in the final. Don and the Italians opened with a tough 4.0-3.0 loss to No. 2 France in the Flight A quarterfinals before falling to No. 6 Ireland (3.5-1.5) in the consolation semifinals. In their final match, Italy scored a 3.0-2.0 win over No. 5 Wales to finish seventh. Don was 0-2-0 individually, but 1-1-0 in foursomes on the tournament.

DON ADVANCED TO SEMIFINALS OF WOMEN'S AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP
The Royal & Ancient's 122nd Women's Amateur Championship was held in Nairn, Scotland, on Nairn Golf Course with a field of 144 players that competed in two rounds of stroke play with the top 64 advancing to match play. Caterina Don, an assistant coach for the Eagles, and Savannah de Bock, who recently finished her first season with the Eagles, took part in the competition with Don advancing to match play and all the way to the semifinals of the prestigious event.
In stroke play, Don was one of 12 players to tie for the final eight spots in match play as she shot 74-75=149 to tie for 57th. After six playoff holes, she earned a place in the match play competition as the No. 61 seed. De Bock did not advance as she finished tied for 100th at 76-77=153.
In match play, Don, representing Italy, defeated fourth-seeded Sara Brentcheneff (France), 2&1, before scoring 3&2 victory in the Round of 32 over No. 29-seeded Andie Smith (USA). In the Round of 16, Don defeated No. 45-seeded Camille Min-Gaultier (France), 1 hole, before taking a 3&2 win in the quarterfinals over No. 28-seed Isla McDonald-O'Brien (England), who is the sister of EMU men's player Rory McDonald-O'Brien. In the semifinals, Don fell to No. 8-seed Paula Martin Sampedro, 3&2, with the Spaniard going on to win the title one day later.
THREE NEWCOMERS FARE WELL IN THEIR HOMELANDS
Three incoming Eagles also competed in events in their home countries earlier in June with two in Thailand and one in Italy. In Italy, Matilde Zocchi took home top honors at the Chiocciola d'Oro Trophy in Cherasco, Italy, June 6-8, as she tied for medalist honors by shooting 72-71-71=214.
In Thailand, Grace Thanintorndamrongdej competed in the SAT Nakhon Nayok Ladies Championship in Nakhn Nayoh where she tied for 74th (81-74-78=233) in the Thai LPGA Tour Event. Ammy Raemmuang took part in the SAT-GPA Junior Tour Stop #6 and placed second (77-73-67=217).

MORE EUROPEAN COMPETITION
De Bock and Don were not done there as both traveled to Frankfurt, Germany (July 23-26) for the 2025 European Ladies' Amateur Championship. De Bock tied for 44th at 5-under 287 (71-71-73-72) while Don was tied for 101st at 4-over 150 (72-78).
CALIFORNIA COMPETITIONS
The Leovao Twins (Janae and Jasmine), the newest additions to the roster, competed in several events in the home state of California. In their first two competitions, they both shot 1-over 73 at the U.S. Amateur Qualifier in Chula Vista (June 17) before both tied for 34th at even-par at the California Women's Amateur Championship in Santa Ana (July 21-22) with both missing the cut for match play by one stroke. Most recently, Janae Leovao took second place at the 11th Southern California Women's Amateur Championship in San Diego (July 28-30) played at historic Torrey Pines GC as she finished at 2-under 214 while sister Jasmine Leovoa was tied for 13th at 6-over.
PLAYING IN 'SWING'APORE
Two Eagles took part in the 77th Singapore Open Amateur Championship, July 7-11, with both placing in the top 20. Erina Tan placed seventh as she shot 2-over 290 (73-75-71-71) while teammate Julianna Go was 16th at 14-over 302 (77-75-71-80).De Bock and Don were not done there as both traveled to Frankfurt, Germany (July 23-26) for the 2025 European Ladies' Amateur Championship. De Bock tied for 44th at 5-under 287 (71-71-73-72) while Don was tied for 101st at 4-over 150 (72-78).
CALIFORNIA COMPETITIONS
