Michigan State University took the top spot with a 197.500 while Long Island University finished third at 194.625. While MSU swept the individual titles and all four events, the Eagles' season-high 49.250 floor performance highlighted the afternoon for the squad.
FLOORED: EMU combined for its highest score on floor, a 49.250, so far this season at the team's tri-meet, March 3. The total bests the squad's previous high of 49.150 set against Kent State, Feb. 26, just the meet before. All five scores counted towards the team total came in at 9.800 or better, including five career-high performances by Anna Grace McCullough (9.900), Hadyn Crossen (9.875), Ella Chemotti (9.850), Trinity Macy (9.825) and Priya Karle (9.650).
The score ties for 10th best in program history, matching floor event scores against Western Michigan, Feb. 20, 2004 and in the George Washington Quad, Feb. 22, 2019. The mark was also the Eagles best event total of the season, topping the 49.175 bars score Eastern posted against Ball State, Jan. 22.
NINER NINER: Anna Grace McCullough earned her first career 9.900 on floor against Michigan State and Long Island, March 3. McCullough is the just the second gymnast on EMU's active roster to achieve a 9.900 or better on the event after Raisa Boris earned a 9.900 in the team's previous meet against Kent State, Feb. 26. With her performance last weekend, the junior has recorded two performances of 9.900 or better with the first being a 9.900 on bars last season against Northern Illinois, March 12.
