Gymnastics Place Fourth at MAC Championships to Close 2026 Season

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University gymnastics team placed fourth at the Mid-American Conference Championships on Saturday, March 21, hosted by Bowling Green, finishing with a 194.675. Central Michigan claimed the title with a 196.025, followed by Ball State at 195.800 and Kent State at 195.325. Eastern finished ahead of Western Michigan, Bowling Green, and Northern Illinois to close out the 2026 season.
The Eagles were highlighted by Kyrie Lowe (Lake Worth, Fla./Park Vista), who posted a 9.825 to tie for third overall on bars, and Katin Childress (Prosper, Texas/Prosper), who recorded a 9.850 to also tie for third overall on beam.
How It Happened:
Eastern opened the meet with a bye before moving to uneven bars and posting a 48.500 team score. Lowe led the Eagles with a 9.825 to tie for third overall, while Jacquelyn Patterson (Mason, Ohio/Mason) and Keeley Kohler (Davison, Mich./Powers Catholic) each added 9.750 routines. Gwendelyn Cantu (Joliet, Ill./Providence Catholic) contributed a 9.625, and Genae Daniel (Indianapolis, Ind./Pike) followed with a 9.550. Analiah Solorio (Littleton, Colo./Chatfield Senior) rounded out the lineup with a 9.000 as Eastern began competition on bars.
Eastern then moved to beam and recorded a 48.525 team score. Childress led the Eagles with a 9.850 to tie for third overall, while Lowe followed with a 9.800. Kendall Landry (Frisco, Texas/Wakeland) added a 9.750, and Solorio contributed a 9.500. Patterson posted a 9.625, and Keeley Kohler rounded out the rotation with a 9.050 as Eastern completed its second event.

Sanai Evans (Norcross, Ga./Paul Duke STEM) scored a 9.650, and Lowe rounded out the lineup as Eastern continued its third rotation.
