Gymnastics Announces 2027 Season Schedule

Eagles set to host five meets, including MAC Championships, during 2027 season

YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) -
Eastern Michigan University Head Gymnastics Coach Katie Minasola announced the team's 2027 schedule. The Eagles are set to host five meets inside the George Gervin GameAbove Center, highlighted by the 2027 Mid-American Conference Championships in March.

The Green and White officially open the 2027 campaign at home Sunday, Jan. 10, welcoming Bowling Green for First Responders Day at 1 p.m.

Eastern remains home Sunday, Jan. 17, for the annual Golden Girls Classic. The Eagles will welcome Ball State, Central Michigan, and Wisconsin-Whitewater to Ypsilanti for the quad meet at 1 p.m.

EMU hits the road for the first time Sunday, Jan. 24, traveling to Kalamazoo, Mich., for a 1 p.m. matchup with Western Michigan. The Eagles remain on the road the following weekend, traveling to Mount Pleasant, Mich., to face Central Michigan Sunday, Jan. 31, at 1 p.m.

February begins with Eastern traveling to Normal, Ill., Friday, Feb. 5, to meet Illinois State and Centenary.

The Eagles return to the George Gervin GameAbove Center Sunday, Feb. 14, hosting Illinois State and Southeast Missouri State at 1 p.m. The meet will serve as EMU's Purple Day and Galentine's Day celebration.

Eastern heads west Friday, Feb. 19, for a road meet at Arizona in Tucson, Ariz. The Eagles close February Sunday, Feb. 28, traveling to Morgantown, W.Va., for a 2 p.m. meet at West Virginia and Temple.

Following the University's spring break, Eastern travels to East Lansing, Mich., Sunday, March 7, for a meet at Michigan State.

The Eagles return home Saturday, March 13, for their final regular-season meet, welcoming Kent State to Ypsilanti for Senior Day at 2 p.m.

Eastern Michigan will then take center stage Saturday, March 20, as the Eagles host the 2027 Mid-American Conference Championships inside the George Gervin GameAbove Center at 2 p.m. The championship will also feature an EMU Gymnastics alumni celebration.

NCAA Regionals are scheduled for April 1-3 at sites to be announced. Qualifying teams and individuals will advance to the NCAA Championships, scheduled for April 15-17 in Fort Worth, Texas.
