Gymnastics Places 10 on Academic All-MAC Team

Lowe highlights group with fourth honor, four Eagles earn repeat recognition
CLEVELAND, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) – Ten student-athletes from the Eastern Michigan University gymnastics team have been named to the 2026 Academic All-MAC Team, the Mid-American Conference announced Friday, April 24.
The Academic All-MAC honor recognizes student-athletes who excel in both competition and the classroom. To qualify, a student-athlete must hold at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and compete in at least 50% of the team's contests.
Eastern Michigan's honorees this season include juniors Abby Brushwood (State College, Pa./State College Area), Gwendelyn Cantu (Joliet, Ill./Providence Catholic), Katin Childress (Prosper, Texas/Prosper), Genae Daniel (Indianapolis, Ind./Pike), and Jacquelyn Patterson (Mason, Ohio/Mason), seniors Priya Karle (Canton, Mass./Canton) and Kyrie Lowe (Lake Worth, Fla./Park Vista), and sophomores Sanai Evans (Norcross, Ga./Paul Duke STEM), Keeley Kohler (Davison, Mich./Powers Catholic), and Analiah Solorio (Littleton, Colo./Chatfield Senior).
Lowe earned Academic All-MAC honors for the fourth time in her career, while Karle, Brushwood, Cantu, and Childress each secured their second consecutive selection.
Central Michigan University and Kent State University led the conference with 11 selections each.
