PHILADELPHIA, Pa. -- The Eastern Michigan University gymnastics team finishes out its non-conference schedule with a quad-meet hosted by Temple University in Philadelphia, Pa. Sunday, March 11.
The meet consists of quad-host Temple, Rutgers University, and Lindenwood University. Additionally, this is the second quad EMU will compete in this season, after placing second with a score of 194.950 in a quad-meet held by Michigan State University, Jan. 27.

FOLLOWING THE MEET: Fans can follow the meet through live stats and a live stream offered by Temple. Links can be found on the EMU gymnastics schedule page located on EMUEagles.com.

IN RECENT HISTORY: The Eagles have faired well against this weekend's competition in recent memory, having put together a combined 7-2 record against the teams since 2008.
Eastern has had the most success against quad-host Temple, coming out victorious against the Owls four times without suffering a loss in the ten-year span.
However, EMU has had more difficulty when facing Rutgers. The two teams have split each of their four meetings, with RU coming out on top in the most recent matchup, besting the Eagles 195.900-194.725, Jan. 14, 2017.
The upcoming meet will serve as just the second time EMU and Lindenwood have competed against one another since 2008, with Eastern coming out with the win, 195.125-194.000, Feb. 28, 2015, in their lone meeting.

LAST TIME OUT: EMU won its second consecutive conference matchup with a 194.225-191.950 victory over Ball State University Sunday, March 4, in Muncie, Ind.
The meet was highlighted by Eastern winning three out of the four event titles, with senior Kendall Valentin taking home both the bars title and a share of the beam title, which she split with senior teammate Megan Marino.

IMPROVEMENTS ON FLOOR:  The Eagles have seen a boost in production on floor over the past six meets, boasting an average team score of 48.916 through the contests, compared to their 48.517 they held through the first three weeks of the season. The spark came in the team's first quad of 2018, when EMU marked a then season-high 48.900 at MSU, Jan. 27. Eastern's best floor score of the season came in the form of a 49.125 against Kent State, Feb. 25. Additionally, the Green and White notched a 49.025 against Illinois State, Feb. 15, which was the first time the team surpassed a 49.000 in any event this season.

LOOKING AHEAD: The Eagles round out their 2018 regular season when they play host to MAC in-state rival Western Michigan for EMU's Senior Day Friday, March 16, inside the Convocation Center. Following the meet, Eastern will have eight days until the MAC Championships, March 24, which will be held in Mount Pleasant, Mich.
