Eagles Finish Up at Michigan's First Chance Meet

Five members of the men's squad competed Sunday
ANN ARBOR, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University men's swimming and diving team completed the University of Michigan's First Chance Meet Sunday, Feb. 17. Sunday's action was the second day of the meet.
EMU had five student-athletes compete at the meet in three races. Blake Howe finished with the best place after he took second in the 200-butterfly with a 1:58.25. Tyler Capen earned a fourth place finish in the 200-backstroke, touching the wall in 1:50.80, while Nate Schingoethe took sixth with a 1:54.53. Brad Lebling and Dylan Crompton finished 6-7 in the 100-freestyle with times of 47.48 and 48.18, respectively.
The Eagles hit the pool again March 7-9, when they compete in the 2013 Mid-American Conference Swimming and Diving Championships in Carbondale, Ill.
