Eastern Heads to NCAA Zone Championships

The three-day meet will run March 8-10
COLUMBUS, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) - The Eastern Michigan University men's and women's diving teams head to the McCorkle Aquatics Pavilion in Columbus, Ohio for the NCAA Zone Championships this weekend, March 8-10.
In order to qualify for the NCAA Championships, divers must finish inside the allotted placements for their particular zone. On the women's side, the Zone C Championship will qualify eight 1-meter divers and 10 3-meter divers to the NCAA Championships. 10 platform divers will also earn a trip to nationals. For the men, the top-10 divers on the 1-meter and 3-meter will advance.

NCAA Zone C Schedule
Thursday – Women's 1-meter/Men's 3-meter – 1:00 p.m. ET
Friday – Women's 3-meter/Men's 1-meter – 1:00 p.m. ET
Saturday – Women's and Men's Platform – 11:00 a.m. ET
Top-18 in the opening round/prelims advance to the finals. Scores will carry over.

Once a diver posts an auto-qualifying finish in an event, he or she only has to be among the top 12 to earn the NCAA Championships berth in the other events.
