YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — Before the regular season tips-off in just five days, the Eastern Michigan University women's basketball team is set for exhibition action Tuesday, Nov. 5, at the Convocation Center. In the team's only exhibition contest, the Eagles battle Wayne State University at 7 p.m. Admission is free and open to the public.

Second-year Head Coach Tory Verdi will look to improve upon an 8-22 overall record and a 6-10 MAC record as he returns five players from last season's roster and brings in the 65th-best class in the nation according to the Dan Olson Collegiate Girls Basketball Report.

The Eagles and Warriors are meeting in the preseason for the second consecutive year. Last season, EMU cruised to a 77-57 win at the Convocation Center, Nov. 6, 2012. The game will not be streamed on Eagle All-Access, but live stats will be available at EMUEagles.com/livestats.

The Eagles will open their 38th season on the hardwood Friday, Nov. 8, against Madoinna University at the Convocation Center.
