Nusseibeh Tabs Mesuch Director of Ops/Assistant Coach

Mesuch earns the role after serving as the head student manager on Nusseibeh's staff for four years
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – Eastern Michigan University Women's Basketball Head Coach Sahar Nusseibeh announced the hiring of Alexis Mesuch as Director of Operations/Assistant Coach Tuesday, Aug. 19.
Mesuch earned the role after serving as the program's head student manager in the 2024-25 season while previously serving Nusseibeh's Canisius University program in the same position from 2022-24.
"Lexie's commitment and loyalty to our program and its people over the last few years as a manager has been commendable," said Nusseibeh. "She is a consummate professional, wise beyond her years, and takes pride in the work she does. I have the utmost trust and confidence in her {Mesuch's} ability to continue to add value to our program and help cultivate an elite environment that takes us to the next level," Nusseibeh concluded.
While acting as the head student manager, Mesuch coordinated team travel and oversaw budget, travel expenses, and gameday operations, while assisting in travel and equipment logistics.
Mesuch went on to aid the full-time coaching staff by organizing team offense/logistics, live coding/clipping games and practices, assisting in individual player development workouts, and charting stats in practices and games.
A native of Clintondale, N.Y., and 2022 graduate of Wallkill Senior High School, Mesuch was a four-year letterwinner on the basketball team. She recently earned a bachelor's degree in general studies from Eastern Michigan University In the spring of 2025, focusing on kinesiology, health/wellness, and sports/business administration.
