Nusseibeh Tabs Joshua Cromwell Director of Player Development

YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – Eastern Michigan University Women's Basketball Head Coach Sahar Nusseibeh announced the hiring of Joshua Cromwell as the program's director of player development Monday, Sept. 14.
Cromwell previously served both EMU basketball programs from 2024-26.
"Josh has shown tremendous dedication and care to our program over the last year," said Nusseibeh. "He operates with incredibly high character and is the epitome of a servant leader. Josh is willing and wanting to do whatever he can to add value to our team. We are very excited to have him continue to serve and help elevate our program as well as our student-athletes."
Cromwell enters his new role with two years of experience as a student manager and graduate assistant for both the men's and women's basketball programs at EMU, where he aided in practice, operations, and other managerial duties. Cromwell also helped create basketball training programs for the Boys and Girls' Club of Saginaw.
"I'm extremely grateful to coach Nusseibeh for the opportunity to serve on this great staff," said Cromwell. "I'm excited to continue working with our student-athletes as we pursue our goal of winning a MAC Championship and developing our student-athletes on and off the court."
The Saginaw, Mich., native played two seasons of college basketball at Division II West Coast Baptist College of the National Christian College Athletic Association after a four-year high school career at Bridgeport Baptist Academy, where he served as a captain in his junior and senior seasons.
Cromwell graduated from Eastern Michigan in 2025 with a bachelor's degree in political science with a minor in journalism. He is currently in the social work graduate program at EMU.
