Swimming and Diving to Take On Golden Grizzlies

Eastern will travel to Rochester, Mich. to square off with Oakland University
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) - The Eastern Michigan University men's and women's swimming and diving teams will travel to Rochester, Mich. to take on the Oakland University Golden Grizzlies in a dual-meet Saturday, Nov. 10. The meet is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
This weekend's dual-meet matchup will represent the 30th meeting between the EMU and OU men's swimming and diving programs and will be the 25th meeting between the women's squads.
On the men's side, the Eagles hold a convincing 22-7 advantage over the Grizzlies with their last meeting dating back to Nov. 12, 2011, where the Grizzlies topped EMU 116-182 on the road. The Green and White won five of 16 events, with Jeffrey Craig and Jacob Hanson both taking home multiple victories.
The women's swimming and diving program first faced the Grizzlies in the 1977-78 campaign where the Green and White came out on top, 89-42. Since their inaugural meeting, the Eagles own a 15-14 overall record against OU and last faced the Grizzlies Nov. 12, 2011. The Eagles dropped a 140-160 decision to Oakland.
