Men's Cross Country Prepares for NCAA Great Lakes Regional

Eagles look to build off of third straight MAC Championship
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University men's cross country team will travel to Madison, Wisc., Friday, Nov. 9, to compete in the NCAA Great Lakes Regional. The men's 10K race will start at 1:15 p.m. (CST) following the women's 6K race which begins at 12:00 p.m. (CST).
EMU will be led by All-MAC First Team honorees Terefe Ejigu and Daryl Smith who are coming off a one-two finish at the MAC Championship. Ejigu won his second MAC Championship title while Smith's second-place finish was a career-best.
After winning their third straight MAC Championship under 2012 MAC Men's Cross Country Coach of the Year John Goodridge, the Eagles, ranked 4th in the Great Lakes Region, will try to improve on a 16th-place finish at last year's Regional meet.
