YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) -- The Eastern Michigan University women's basketball team will square off against Boston University, Nov. 23, and Harvard University, Nov. 24, at the Convocation Center. The game time for Friday's contest is 7 p.m., while Saturday will tipoff at 4 p.m. as the first leg of a doubleheader with the EMU men's basketball team.
EMU will be video streaming each of the games live on Eagle All-Accesss. Subscriptions start at just $6.95 at emueagles.com/showcase.

LOCKING DOWN THE OPPOSITION: The Eagles have not allowed an opponent to score more than 61 points in a single-game through the team's first three contests of the 2012-13 season.

GOING BACK-TO-BACK: The EMU women's basketball team has not played on back-to-back days that were not part of a tournament since the 1987-88 season. The then-Hurons squared off with Indiana State, Dec. 18, 1987, falling 71-57. The very next day EMU took on Wright State, Dec. 19, 1987, and won by a slim, 64-62, margin.

ALL-TIME AGAINST BOSTON UNIVERSITY: The schools are meeting for the second time with BU holding a 1-0 edge in the series. The team's other meeting was in the consolation game of the 2006 Verizon Wireless/Arizona State Classic in Tempe, Ariz., Dec. 2. EMU erased a 12-point deficit, but its come back bid fell just short as Boston University  notched the 65-59 victory. EMU was led by Patrice McKinney who scored 24 points, including 18 in the second half.

EMU VERSUS THE AMERICAN EAST: In just three games against the American East Conference, the Eagles are at an even .500, 2-2. Eastern has defeated Hartford and UMBC, but fallen to both Vermont, as well as Friday evening's foe, Boston University.

ALL-TIME AGAINST HARVARD: EMU will have a quick turnaround hosting Harvard University Saturday, Nov. 24. The game is the first part of a doubleheader at the Convo with the EMU men's team hosting Madonna University 30 minutes following the conclusion of the EMU-HU contest.
The schools are meeting for the first time.

IVY LEAGUE DOMINANCE: EMU has played four games against the Ivy League in history and holds an undefeated, 4-0, record. In one game with Columbia, the Eagles are 1-0, while they have topped Cornell on three separate occasions.

THREE'S A CROWD: Despite falling in both games, EMU has had three players post double-digit point totals in the last two contests. Against Michigan State, Miranda Tate led the way with 18 points, while Natachia Watkins and India Hairston added 11 and 10, respectively. In the loss to Detroit, Watkins led the offense with 15 points. Tate poured in 11 and Olivia Fouty had her first double-digit scoring affair with 10 points against the Titans.

PAINT WOES: Eastern fell, 61-54, at home against the Detroit Titans. A lot of that loss had to do with EMU's struggles in the paint. The Titans out-scored the Eagles, 38-22, in the paint.

MERCHANT RETURNED TO YPSI: Head Coach Suzy Merchant returned to Eastern Michigan for the first time since leaving EMU to become Michigan State's head coach in 2007. Merchant is the Eagles' all-time winningiest coach, compiling a 147-91 record in her nine years in Ypsilanti (1998-2007). She guided the Eagles to three 20-win seasons, three postseason berths and two MAC West Division championships.
