EMU RETURNS HOME FOR SIX-STRAIGHT AT HOME: The Eastern Michigan University women's basketball team returns home Monday, Dec. 6, to host the nationally-ranked Phoenix of University of Wisconsin-Green Bay in a 7 p.m. contest at the Convocation Center. Green Bay is ranked 21st in the latest ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll while falling just outside of the top 25 in the Associated Press rankings. Ryan Wooley will have the exclusive call on Eagle All-Access beginning at 6:50 p.m.

EAGLE NATION SIX-PACK: Monday's contest versus Green Bay kicks off a historic homestand at the Convocation Center for the Eagles. Beginning Dec. 6, EMU will remain in Ypsilanti for six games over the span of 23 days. The homestand is the second-longest in the program's 35-year history, only bettered by a seven-game streak during the 1979-80 campaign. The Green and White will take to the road Jan. 5 to open Mid-American Conference play before returning to the friendly confines of the Convo for three more contests against league competition.

ALL-TIME VERSUS THE PHOENIX: This is the fourth meeting between the Eagles and the Phoenix, with Green Bay having won all three previous contests. The last meeting between the two schools in 2001 was a classic, as it was tight throughout the contest with Green Bay notching a 65-54 victory at the Phoenix Sports Center, Dec. 1, 2001. UWGB built an eight-point lead in the first half, but the Eagles fought back to cut it to four at the intermission, 32-28. The second half continued, as both teams shot the ball well, with neither team leading by more than five until the closing minutes. EMU was led by Dru Bishop with 14 points, while Erika Ford had 11. EMU posted a season-low 13 turnovers, but the points off turnovers proved to be the difference, as UWGB outscored the Eagles 21-6 off of miscues.

TOP-25 OPPOSITION AND THE EAGLES: For the second time this season, Eastern Michigan will square off with a ranked team when it tangles with No. 21 Green Bay Monday, Dec. 6. In the program's 35 years, EMU has never knocked off a ranked opponent, posting an 0-11 record. For complete EMU results versus ranked teams, turn to page five of these notes.
The last ranked team to visit the Convocation Center came Dec. 2, 2008, against 11th ranked Notre Dame. The Fighting Irish left Ypsilanti with a hard-fought 83-63 victory.

EMU VERSUS THE HORIZON LEAGUE: Eastern is 46-31 all-time versus the Indianapolis, Ind. based conference, having played against all 10 member institutions. EMU has faced the University of Detroit Mercy more times than any other league member, with the Titans holding an 11-8 lead in the series.

THIS DATE IN EMU HISTORY: The game on Dec. 6 will mark the 15th time the Eagles will have played on that date, recording a 6-8 record all-time. The last occurrence came in 2008 when the Green and White lost to Illinois State, 83-47, at Redbird Arena in Normal, Ill.

CHECKING THE CAREER STATS: With her 13 free throws made versus Cal State Northridge, Nov. 21, senior Cassie Schrock became the EMU career leader in free throws made with 417. Nikki Knapp (2002-06) held the previous standard of 411 makes. The Wadsworth, Ohio native is still 54 attempts shy on Knapps' record of 626 free throws attempted.
Junior Tavelyn James moved into second place all-time with 502 three-pointers attempted, 76 shots short of Kristy Maska's (1997-01) record of 578 in a career. James has also made 154 triples, which passed Dru Bishop (1999-03) for the fifth-most three-pointers made in the program history.

A LOOK INSIDE THE SPECIALTY STATS: The Eagles are averaging 28.2 points per game in the paint, 17.4 points off the bench, 24.6 points per game off turnovers, 14.9 second-chance points and 9.5 fast break points per game.

HOME COURT ADVANTAGE: Eastern Michigan is 2-0 at the Convocation Center this season. The Eagles have won 15 of the last 17 home games dating back to the 2008-09 campaign.
Eastern Michigan has racked up a solid home-court advantage inside the friendly confines of the Convocation Center since the doors opened during the 1998-99 campaign. The Green and White has won 69.9 percent of the contests played in the building, racking up a 109-47 all-time mark.

ALLOWING 50 OR LESS: Eastern Michigan is 84-0 all time when allowing 50 points or less. Since 2003-04 the Green and White have accomplished the feat 39 times with 19 of those coming against Mid-American Conference foes.
