Women's Cross Country Opens 2006 at Michigan Open

DEXTER, Mich.- The Eastern Michigan University women’s cross country team opened its season today here at the Michigan Open. Kalli Williams (Dexter, Mich./Dexter) took second place with a time of 18:07, finishing just one second behind Michigan’s Elizabeth Uible (18:06) in the 5k event.

Eastern’s Melissa Green (Brecksville, Ohio/ Broadview Heights) was the next highest finisher in the event, recording a time of 19:56.

The Eagles will be in action again Saturday, Sept.16th at 10a.m. at the Toledo Invitational in Toledo, Ohio.
