Paul Tinnion begins his eighth season with the Eastern Michigan University women’s soccer program and his ninth overall as an assistant at Eastern Michigan University.

Tinnion joined the women’s program after serving as an assistant under his father, Brian, with the EMU men’s soccer program from 1996-97. (The program was discontinued in spring of 2000). He was also a member of the men’s squad, competing during the 1989 season.

He has served as the director of coaching for the Novi Jaguar Soccer Association since May 1999. Prior to his position with Novi, he ws the director of operations for Total Soccer Wixom from 1997-1999.

The 36-year-old Tinnion (4-17-71) has also been the coach of the Brighton Eclipse of the Michigan Premier League and was a coach with the Olympic Development Program from 1992-93 and 2003-04.

Tinnion graduated from Eastern Michigan University in 1995. He and his wife, Amy, live in Livonia, Mich. with daughters, Kendall and Lily.
