YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) -- Six Eastern Michigan University soccer student-athletes have been tabbed 2025 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District, the group announced Tuesday, Nov. 25.
The six Eagles that earned all-district honors are seniors Meghan Heath (Medina, Ohio/Medina/Canisius), Secora Johnson (Galena, Ohio/Olentangy Orange), and Hannah Thompson (Schoolcraft, Mich./Schoolcraft); redshirt junior Ella Holland (Dunwoody, Ga./Dunwoody/Samford); and juniors Olivia Sipsock (Medina, Ohio/Medina) and Cameryn Susey (Westerville, Ohio/Olentangy Berlin). Holland and Johnson earned the recognition for the second time in their careers while the other four Eagles received the honor for the first time.
The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Women's Soccer teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. Student-athletes must have a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher and must have played in at least 90% of their team's games or started at least 66% of them. Schools were limited to six nominations, so all eligible student-athletes were not recognized as CSC Academic All-District.
Heath, a biology major, played 16 matches while recording 12 starts in 2025. Heath played the full 90 in six matches as part of the Eastern backline, which allowed 1.06 GAA, the ninth-best mark in program history. While playing a key role on the defensive, Heath tallied two shots for the season.
Johnson, a biology major, was one of five Eagles to start all 18 matches in 2025. Johnson provided the assist on the game-winning goal against Robert Morris, Aug. 31, while making an impact in the midfield. Johnson recorded two shots on the season while playing the full 90 in two matches.
Thompson, a psychology major, was one of 11 Eagles to play all 18 matches in 2025, recording 10 starts. Thompson netted the go-ahead goal at Kent State, Oct. 2, while seeing significant time in the midfield. She notched 13 shots for the season, including seven shots on goal. Thompson played a season-high 53 minutes at DePaul, Sept. 7.
Holland, an economics major, was one of five Eagles to start all 18 matches in 2025. Holland, who was named Second Team All-MAC, stopped 105 shots, which led the MAC and was 31 more saves than the next closest keeper. While her 85 saves during conference play were 36 more than the next MAC keeper, she also led the league in save percentage at .847, the sixth-best mark in program history. Her stellar season included numerous standout performances, highlighted by her impressive MAC record 20 saves at Kent State, Oct. 2. With that performance, Holland became the first Division I keeper to record 20 saves and concede one of fewer goals in one match since the 2021 season.
Sipsock, a biology major, was one of five Eagles to start all 18 matches in 2025. Sipsock, who was named Second Team All-MAC, scored a career-high eight goals, which ranked third in the conference. Sipsock's six goals in MAC play were tied for the top mark in the conference as she became the first Eagle to register eight goals in one season since Angela Vultaggio in 2014. With her five goals scored in each of the 2023 and 2024 seasons, Sipsock is the first Eagle to score at least five goals in three-straight seasons since Sabrina McNeill from 2018-20.
Susey, a biology major, was one of five Eagles to start all 18 matches in 2025. Susey recorded the assist on the game-winning goal against Toledo, Sept. 21. She transitioned to a defensive role after playing forward in 2025, recording six shots for the season.
