Eastern Soccer Lands 11 on Academic All-MAC List

CLEVELAND, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) – A total of 138 Mid-American Conference women's soccer student-athletes were named to the 2025 Women's Soccer Academic All-MAC Team, as announced Wednesday, Dec. 3, by the conference.
The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport.
Eastern Michigan was one-of-eight institutions to post double-digit honorees in the conference this season as it totaled 11. EMU's 11 ranked fourth-most by value. Ohio led the way with 16 student-athletes on this year's team. Buffalo had 13 honorees, while Akron, Ball State and Bowling Green all had 12 student-athletes represented.
Senior Mary Grimes (Commerce Township, Mich./Walled Lake Central) earned the honor the third time in her career, while seniors Hannah Thompson (Schoolcraft, Mich./Schoolcraft), Sarah Van Euwen (Avon Lake, Ohio/Avon Lake), Secora Johnson (Galena, Ohio/Olentangy Orange), juniors Rosalie Takacsy (Orchard Park, N.Y./Orchard Park), Cameryn Susey (Westerville, Ohio/Olentangy Berlin), Sophia Baumann (Romeo, Mich./Romeo), Olivia Sipsock (Medina, Ohio/Medina), Ella Holland (Dunwoody, Ga./Dunwoody), and sophomore Josie Langhans (Sun Prairie, Wis./Sun Prairie West) were also named to the list for the second time in their careers.
