MAC Release

CLEVELAND, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) –
The Eastern Michigan University soccer team had a trio of student-athletes named to the Mid-American Conference teams, as revealed Friday afternoon.

Redshirt junior Ella Holland (Dunwoody, Ga./Dunwoody/Samford) and junior Olivia Sipsock (Medina, Ohio/Medina) were both named All-MAC Second Team while freshman Kaylee Synk (North Olmstead, Ohio/St. Joseph's Academy) was named All-Freshman Team.

Holland and Sipsock are the first Eagles to be named All-MAC Second Team or better since Maddie O'Farrell in 2022. The duo also became the first Eagle pair to each be named All-MAC Second Team or better since Amanda Cripps and Sabrina McNeill each earned First Team honors following the 2020 season, which was played in the spring of 2021. Prior to Friday, Eastern had not had a trio players make the All-MAC teams since Cripps and McNeill were joined by Lindsey Shira in receiving recognition in 2019.

Holland produced a stellar season in goal, leading the conference with 105 saves, the seventh-highest total for a single season in program history. Her 85 saves during MAC play were 36 more than any other keeper in the conference. Holland's .895 save rate during conference play was .051 higher than any other MAC keeper while her .847 save percentage currently leads the MAC. She was named MAC Goalkeeper of the Week twice during the 2025 season, Sept. 23 and Oct. 21. Holland also provided one of the greatest single-game performances in conference history as she equaled the MAC record for save in one match with 20 at Kent State, Oct. 2. In that match, Holland became the first keeper in the nation to record 20 saves or more and concede one goal or fewer since 2021. Holland's All-MAC Second Team honor marks the first postseason award of her career.

Sipsock paced the Eastern offensive attack with eight goals, a total that currently ranks tied for third in the MAC. She also netted six goals in conference play, which is tied for the top mark in the conference. Sipsock propelled Eastern to a pair of wins with nine points in two matches to help EMU top Akron, Oct. 19, and NIU, Oct. 26. With those matches, Sipsock became the first Eagle to score multiple goals in back-to-back matches since Sabrina McNeill in 2021, the first Eagle to tally nine points in a two-match stretch since Stephanie Clarke in 2010, and the first Eagle to score eight goals in one season since Angela Vultaggio in 2014. Sipsock, who scored five goals in each of her first two seasons, was named to the MAC All-Freshman Team in 2023.

Synk ranked second on the team with three goals in her first season in Ypsilanti. Her season was highlighted by a game-winning goal at Toledo, Sept. 21, while she also scored against Southern Indiana, Aug. 28, and against Akron, Oct. 19. The freshman played in all 18 matches, recording her first career start against Loyola Chicago, Sept. 11.
