Soccer Selected Seventh in MAC Preseason Poll

Eastern was seventh in both 2024 and 2025
CLEVELAND, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) -- The Eastern Michigan University soccer program has been picked to finish seventh in the conference standings in 2026, according to the votes tabulated in the Mid-American Conference Preseason Coaches Poll, the league announced Tuesday, Aug. 11.
Eastern finished seventh in both the 2024 and 2025 seasons, falling one spot short of the MAC Tournament.
According to the poll, which was constructed by the votes of the conference's 12 head coaches, the Eagles received 58 points while Western Michigan was picked to win the MAC with 119 points and earned nine of the 12 first-place votes.
The Eagles are set to begin their season Wednesday, hosting Duquesne. The match is slated for a 4:30 p.m. kick at Scicluna Field.
