R.P. White
- Title:
- Volunteer Assistant Coach
R.P. White joins as a volunteer assistant in 2010. A former member of EMU's Men's Cross Country team, White brings valuable experience to the coaching staff said Parks.
“R.P. worked hard and persevered over the years to be a strong contributor on MAC championship cross country and track teams for the men here at EMU,” said Head Coach Sue Parks. “I expect him to pass along that winning attitude to our female distance runners. It will be great for the women to be around someone who has been there and knows what it takes to compete for a conference championship at EMU.”
White was a member of the Men's Track and Cross Country teams from 2005-2009, where he helped capture multiple MAC Championships.
In his senior cross country campaign, he landed the Coaches Award for his solid performance throughout the season including a 15th place in the MAC Championship. He helped the Eaglels to their fourth consecutive MAC Conference title a year earlier by placing 29th overall at the MAC Championship with a time of 25:46.1. White also placed 7th in the 10,000 meters in the 2010 outdoor MAC Championship, helping the Eagles to the team title in his last season.
