EVANSVILLE, Ind. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University cross country programs competed in the NCAA Great Lakes Regional Championships hosted by the University of Evansville, Friday, Nov. 14.

The men's team finished 18th out of 32 teams with 509 points in the 10k and the women finished 25th out of 35 teams with 751 points in the 6k. The University of Notre Dame won both the men's and women's races.

The men were led by Ty Dailey (Phoenix, Md./Dulaney), who ran the 10k in 31:54.42 (64th). He was followed by Kian Wiles (Hull, England/St.Mary's College), who finished with a time of 32:11.42 (75th), and Isaac Garcia (Greely, Colo./South County), who finished in 32:28.02 (98th). To round out the scoring, Ronan Codyre (Aukland, New Zealand/Macleans College) finished in 33:07.90 (134th) while Jimmy Geller (London, England/Davenant Foundation School) ran a personal best 33:51.27 (146th).

In the women's race, Liv Hatch (Valparaiso, Ind./Valparaiso), led the Eagles in the 6k with a time of 21:43.13 (83rd) and was followed by Lucy Jones (Haverhill, England/Normanhurst School), who finished in 22:38.27 (145th). Next came Frankie Moore (Columbia, Md./Oakland Mills) who finished with a personal best time of 22:59.31 (165th), followed by Cara Weber (Union, Ky./Larry A. Ryle), who finished in 23:32.89 (191st), and Kiera Hansen (Freeland, Mich./Freeland), who finished in 23:45.37 (199th) to round out the scoring.
